About This Presenter Michelle Doring teaches bilingual kindergarten and Title I Intervention students at Ash Creek Elementary in Monmouth. She has been working with Google Apps on the consumer side for several years, and has spent the last year experimenting with how to incorporate these versatile tools seamlessly into the primary classroom. Michelle is passionate about modeling appropriate and creative uses of technology for her students. Notes from this Workshop Google Apps for Education is an incredible suite of free tools with unlimited potential using student accounts to manage learning, assignments, assessment, collaboration, etc. But what can you do with students who are too young even to type their own name? In this workshop we will explore some of the ways I have implemented Google Apps in my kindergarten classroom, and brainstorm other creative ways that primary teachers can harness the potential of Google's ever-improving tools. Together we will walk through the process of creating a classroom website using a template I designed, and you will create a Doc template you can use for classroom newsletters. You will come away with the tools and knowledge to use these materials with your students and families. Workshop materials can be found at: Please take the quick survey! |
