If possible, have Google Earth pre-installed on your computer and be able to log in to your Google account. Session 4: 1:00 - 2:15 This hands-on session will cover projects using various Google Docs. Petitt is the Online School Specialist for Southern Oregon Education Service
District in Medford, Oregon. Virginia coordinates Oregon Online, which uses Moodle
to provide supplementary online classes for middle and high school students,
and works with Southern Oregon school districts to integrate instructional
technology and implement online learning. Virginia is also part of the Oregon
Virtual School District training team and the GoogleApps Oregon implementation
team. A classroom teacher for over 20 years prior to working at SOESD, Virginia taught business and computer classes including computer repair, web page design and video production. She has taught and provided professional development in instructional technology in both the public and private sectors for over 15 years, and worked as a national trainer for the MarcoPolo project (now Thinkfinity) as well as for Classroom Connect. Virginia lives in Ashland, Oregon, with her husband. They have two children 20 and 24, who are spending their inheritance on college tuition. Notes from this Workshop |
